This is my disaster of a backyard. I cannot help but see all the potential that it has to become an amazing outdoor living space. My first idea is that the back patio is an empty nothingness of wasted space, and needs to become an inviting outdoor room. One of the first things I can do to frame the space, and add some much needed shade, is build a pergola.
The pergola needs to extend just enough past the patio, to cover a portion of the cemented area, and offer a location with shade for the grills. Can you picture it? The large grill will remain where it is, and the smaller grill will be placed where the green table is now. The green table will be used as patio furniture in a little bit. The low green metal table will be moved to the patio for use as furniture as well. Now that we have the key pieces in place, in my next post, let’s discuss building the pergola.Embed from Getty Images Embed from Getty Images
